Link Building

High-quality link building to improve search engine placements.
We only use white hat methods to build your linking structure.

Link building for SEO is the act of linking to and getting links from other websites back to you and internal site linking. It can be one of the best SEO tools you have in your arsenal. Having the right links to or within your website tells search engines that your web page content is important. BUT not all link building is equal. Some links can actually hurt your SEO.

How Can We Build Your Links

Posts are custom-written for your content and posted on various sites that allow links embedded. For example Quora we would answer questions that your site could answer and embed a link into the well-written answer so it is not considered SPAM. We post the link and verify that in 2 to 3 days it is visible on a Google search. We also use Medium.com and LinkedIn which we have found often as first-page listings on Google. Observing what links come up in a search is a good way to learn where best to post your links.

Embedded Anchor Links

We adjust the content of your web pages that are somewhat large, over 1,500 words to utilize anchor links to jump to the various parts of the page. The number of links will be what we can fit into the page that is acceptable. You do not need anchor links jumping to another visual part of the same page.

Internal Website Links

After reviewing the content of your website we determine points within the website that can be linked together based on supporting material. It may require some minor adjustments to the content wording.

Press Release – the number of links is undetermined.

We write a press release for your site that contains links and publish it to national news networks. It will drive traffic to your website by syndicating your story across hundreds of news media websites. It will also increase visibility in relevant search results across major search engines – Google, Yahoo!, Bing, etc. – by permanently hosting links from your press release. We use PRWeb.com for the push.

Well, it all started 25 years ago at Stanford University with some lazy kids trying to find an easier way to do research on the internet. They created a search engine that used links to determine what articles of information were the most important based on how many links were found being directed to the article. Wala, Google was born. It went on to become what it is today.

But with all things, there are growing pains. It was not long before Google was an essential part of the internet. With it being in the public eye people with businesses wanted to be found first on all searches. Website owners started to abuse the linking structure of the internet by creating thousands of repetitive links in order to improve their listings. So long story short, Google has been refined to avoid this oversight. Google still uses links as part of its criteria for web page placement in the search results. But links now have their own criteria within the Google search algorithm.

Simply put the best link-building strategy is to link to articles or web pages related to your website. Have these articles link back to you. In addition, you want sites with related content linking to you. You notice I said “sites” as in plural. Having 10 sites linking to you is better than having 1 site linking to you a hundred times.

  • backlinks – linking from sources external to your website
  • domain referrals – unique websites links
  • no-follow – instruction for search engines to ignore the link
  • do-follow – links search engines are allowed to follow
  • anchor links – links from one point in an article to another in the same article
  • internal links – linking from one web page to another within the same website
  • outbound links – lining from one website to another

I have to mention this because I almost got hit myself. I just had a guy with a nice website article highly ranked send me an email asking for a link exchange. The article and his website were related to my website. It sounded great. But I have been doing this for 20 years so before agreeing I asked him where my return link would reside. He replied with 4 websites with a supposedly high rating but weren’t related to my content at all. Not only was he not giving me a link from the content he suggested I link to, but he was putting me on useless websites.

Never sign up to buy links in bulk. In all cases, they are from trashy websites that will actually hurt your SEO. These are called link farms.

If you want to buy links it is not cheap for the good ones. Spending $1000 for one quality link to be in place for a year is not unusual. There are companies out there that will set up quality link exchanges legitimately. Do some background checks and ask and verify where your links reside.

Not our recommended method but if you want to buy quality links you should use LinkBuilder.IO

There are many sources to get quality links and some for FREE. It takes time but it is possible.

  • social media
  • press releases
  • link exchanges
  • article writing

Social media by word of mouth advertising is a great way to get links. These links sometimes spread from one person to another creating a network of links to your website. This type of linking reflects highly upon your website’s reputation.

Press releases are a good way to get quick links from hundreds of websites. But I have tried various companies that were FREE or cheap and the links do not last long. The only company I found that will build long-lasting links from reliable sources is PRWEB. I ran several press releases with them more than 10 years ago and the results with links are still out there on a Google search.

Exchanging links with sites related to you is the best way to go for exchanges. Find a website that is already doing exchanges preferably in-text content links and send them an email proposal. Website owners doing this are smart, so do not waste your and their time if you know you are not qualified.

Article writing for a link is a good way to plant seeds that grow. For example, I spent hours writing this article. But it is all original content and there are people out there interested just to link to information sources like this. You can also write articles for other websites if you are good at writing. It is fairly easy to find busy website owners in need of fresh content that is unique and will happily give you a link for your hard-earned work.

My article here is simple and to the point. But while researching to be sure what I was saying covered almost everything. I ran across this article at MOZ. It is one of those articles you read before bedtime. It is very detailed and hits ALL the technical details I left out.

You notice I just gave them a FREE backlink, that is how it works if you have good content.

Since my site has a Domain Rating “DR” of 40 and their website has a DR 91 my little link is not going to help them very much. BUT linking to related content helps add some confirmation to search engines what my web page is all about. NOW if I could get a link from them it would boost me to the moon. But that will never happen.
