About Glenn the Founder And Owner
Glenn Madden, the owner of Glenn Website Design, began his journey in 1989, creating interactive, decision-based adventure scripts for his friends on a Commodore 64K computer. This early work, written in BASIC programming language, allowed his friends to call in by modem and play the game, long before the internet became mainstream.
In the late ’90s, Glenn turned his hobby of developing websites into a career, starting with an intranet for Capsugel, a division of Pfizer at the time. He then moved on to creating business websites to promote unique products he purchased internationally. One of his earliest websites, American TradUR Wholesale Furniture (tradur.com), established in 2001, is still operational today.
Glenn’s web design skills flourished, leading him to create websites for local businesses in Greenwood, SC, and for Capsugel’s intranet. His success continued with TradUR, a business website selling furniture and crafts from Indonesia, a country he frequently visited. In 2005, a builders group from Tulsa, Oklahoma, discovered Glenn through TradUR.com and hired him full-time to set up a furniture factory in Indonesia. His website’s success extended beyond the USA, attracting regular customers from the UK, Poland, Singapore, and Australia.
By 2015, Glenn and his business clients recognized his talent for website design and online marketing. He established Glenn Website Design, initially offering business websites as a bonus with wholesale furniture purchases. This strategy proved popular and brought in more business. Despite minimal promotion, Glenn’s reputation for web design grew, although he focused more on the lucrative online furniture sales.
The COVID-19 pandemic brought significant changes. With international shipping costs skyrocketing and lockdowns limiting in-person interactions, Glenn pivoted to a remote work model. Over the past two years, he has developed a system where all workers and clients interact online, allowing Glenn Website Design to thrive once again.
Today, Glenn Website Design is back in a big way, offering cutting-edge web design and online marketing services to businesses worldwide.
